Indicative modelling only. Timber values and grant rates are subject to market conditions and eligibility. Consult a registered forestry consultant before committing to a PAWS restoration programme. Grants are excluded unless you include them, and are conditional on eligibility and Scottish Forestry approval. Rates checked 3 November 2026 on ruralpayments.org: Woodland Improvement Grant – Restructuring Regeneration Β£300/Β£550 per ha (published 1 October 2024); Habitats and Species deer fence Β£9.50/m and rhododendron rates by method (page dated 5 July 2019). Timber is in mΒ³ overbark standing; reference GB coniferous standing sales average Β£35.17/mΒ³ overbark, year to March 2026 (Forest Research Timber Price Indices, 28 May 2026). Standing volume is a placeholder: use a site inventory. Sponsorship and the 15-year values are optional scenarios with no contracts; England's statutory Biodiversity Net Gain does not apply in Scotland. Last updated: 3 November 2026.
